What is Wellness:
Merriam-Webster offers a simple definition of "Wellness": the quality or state of being healthy.
"...a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being, and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."
- The World Health Organization
"a conscious, self-directed and evolving process of achieving full potential."
- The National Wellness Institute
Wellness can only be achieved when the whole person, mind, body and spirit is in balance.
Good news, it is never too late to begin to regain the balance and start to improve the quality of our lives. There are many resources available to aid you in the process, but it all starts with you. First in thought, then in action, through the conscious choices made every single day that will eventually become a habitual way of thinking and acting that over time results in healthier, happier you. It is a Holistic approach to living your life, which is in its self a complicated multi-dimensional puzzle, which makes each one of us completely individual. So to should your approach to wellness be completely unique to you, while following well tested and proven methods (this may require professional guidance), trust me, it will take time and effort, but it will truly be worth the investment, as the payoff for your effort will be both positive and affirming.
